The hand in this milkglass and blue scent bottle is showing the figa sign, having with the thumb between the fingers. This sign has had many meanings over the centuries some positive and some negative. In this instance, being used as a ladie's scent bottle, I think it was either a good luck symbol or to ward off evil. It has a pewter screw closure. Length is 8.25 centimeters (3.25 inches). Undamaged.
