Tall goblet/table bell combination glass circa last quarter of the 17th century and probably made in Liege. Both bowls have been gadrooned with ribbing which was then had pinched into a diamond pattern (nipt diamond waies). This is 17th century glassblowing at its finest. it appears that 14 seperate elements of glass were used to construct this piece. 25.4 centimeters (10 inches) tall. Undamaged with a wear ring inside the bell bowl where the clapper has touched it. The glass blacklights as lead. An almost identical example can be seen in the Museum Grand Curtius in Liege, though that one the bell clapper is gone and has a metal replacement. This Curtius example is also shown in the book Trick Glasses by Kitty Lameris and Mark Barreda on page 99.
