This is an unusual early lead glass candlestick made in England circa 1700. The foot is drawn right from the same gather as the air-twist stem itself. A socket was added, the blow pipe was broken off of the socket and a trailed lip was then applied. Height: 19.68 cm (7.75 inches). Undamaged. Probably a very early example of the air-twist technique used in England.
